Local Government Super
Local Government Super is local government’s own not-for-profit superannuation fund. It is the preferred and designated superannuation fund for employees in Awards and Enterprise Agreements in the industry in New South Wales and was established in July 1997 as a joint initiative of the local government unions and the Local Government and Shires Association.
The Fund has equal representation of employers and employees in the industry. There are two employee representatives nominated by the United Services Union, one by the LGEA and one by depa.
LGS has a proud history of responsible and sustainable investment (their site has lots of info about this) to complement its good returns.

Local Government & Shires Association
The Local Government Association of NSW and the Shires Association of NSW are the peak industry bodies for Local Government in NSW. They have about 60 joint staff who implement Executive and Conference decisions and provide research support for the policy positions and standing committees of both Associations.

NSW Division of Local Government
The Division of Local Government is the state agency responsible for local government across NSW. Their specific role is to provide a clear policy and legislative foundation to local government in NSW so councils are able to deliver quality services to their communities in a sustainable manner.

Building Professionals Board
The Building Professionals Board works to improve the quality of building construction and subdivision in NSW by regulating and educating building and subdivision certifiers.

United Services Union
The United Services Union (USU) has approximately 40,000 members and represents local government, energy, airline and clerical and administrative employees throughout NSW.

LGEA
The Local Government Engineers' Association (LGEA) is the largest local government group within APESMA and represents APESMA members working within local government on matters relating to their salaries and working conditions.
